One good thing that came out of moving on post was that Linda let me get a new barbecue grill. I had taken my previous grill to work for a function and Linda said she didn't want to see it come back. Yay me! So I did some in-depth research on the internet and decided to purchase a Char-Griller 5050 Dual Gas/Charcoal Grill. I also purchased the side fire box that attaches to the charcoal side.
Took a stab on some pork loins:
Before (I marinated them for 24 hours)
Then using the side firebox I smoked them for about 6 hours.
After
Some other goodies we had that I made on the other half of the grill while the pork was finishing up.
Grilled Pineapple
Grilled Garlic Bread
Two excellent books that I learned a lot from
This week I'm going to smoke some pork riblet things and whatever other big hunks of meat are sitting in the freezer. Linda loves not having to cook, the lazy bum ;-)

Cook, baby, cook! Those pineapples were awesome! The meat wasn't bad either. :-)
Holy crap! That thing is big enough to live in. The meat looks terrific. I'm drooling as I write this. I can hardly wait to see you guys and taste the deliciosity that comes from the grill.
